Sindy Ferguson Obituary

Sindy Lee Ferguson, a woman of love and creativity, passed away on September 23, 2024, in Tampa, FL, at the age of 65. Born on August 8, 1959, in Stamford, CT, Sindy's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her passion for her family, and her extraordinary ability to bring warmth and joy to those around her.

Sindy's journey began as a cherished daughter in Connecticut, and she carried the love and values from her upbringing throughout her life. Her heart found its match in John ''Earl'' Ferguson, and together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and the blessings of their children: Dawn Ann Vandiver (Jerry), David E. Ferguson (Shalla), and Debra M. Anderson (Ryan). Sindy was a devoted sister to her siblings, finding joy in the company of Billy Dorsey and Laurie Wandless, and holding dear the memories of her late siblings, Sandra McCann and Kevin Dorsey.

Her role as a homemaker was one she embraced with pride and dedication. Sindy's home was an oasis of comfort, a place where family and friends were always welcome, and where love was the main ingredient in every meal and every moment shared. Her involvement with Bethel Baptist Church of Lakeland, Florida, was a reflection of her deep faith. As a born-again Christian, she lived her beliefs through acts of kindness and a commitment to her church community.

Sindy's creative spirit shone brightly in her love for crafting. With nimble fingers, she turned yarn into warmth, crocheting and knitting not just blankets, but also bonds of connection with those she loved. Her grandchildren, Destine, David Jr. 'Dj', Dillon, Landon, Laney, Cameron, and Terrence 'Tj', will ensure that her loving memory will always live on. Sindy is also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Nancy Kent, who lived next door and became a mother to Sindy as well.

Her interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. Sindy cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, whether it was a quiet afternoon at home or an adventure on the sunny shores of Englewood. She found solace in the rhythm of the waves and joy in the laughter of her family aboard the boat. Her love for Lifetime television was matched only by her enthusiasm for shopping on Amazon.

Sindy's big heart and courageous spirit meant she was always there for those in need. She lived by the principle that to care for others was the highest calling, and she answered that call every day of her life. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her willingness to do anything for anyone left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.

Her legacy is one of unconditional love, creativity, and courage. Sindy's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of her faith, her family, and her kindness. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As we bid farewell to Sindy Lee Ferguson, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and passion. Her memory will continue to inspire us, and her love will forever be the light guiding us forward. We take solace in knowing that her spirit will remain with us, as vibrant and nurturing as it was in life. Rest in peace, dear Sindy, until we meet again.
