Sherwood B. Garcia, 43, passed away on March 26, 2023, in Lakeland, FL.
Sherwood was born on June 02, 1979, in Bronx, NY to parents Sherwood Bruington and Myrna Garcia.
Sherwood was working as a Cargo Agent for Amazon. He was a man of faith who loved to talk about the Lord. Affectionately referred to as Woody, he was a jokester, who loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He was funny, but a private individual. He was helpful and handy, especially working on cars. He loved video games and getting dressed up. He loved his family and was very close to his sister, Angie. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Sherwood is survived by his brothers and sisters: Carlos (Vanessa) Mercado, Cecilia Angie (Sammy) Estrada, Tony Garcia, Rena Garcia, Maria Garcia Sarah Garcia, and David Garcia as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Friday, March 31, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 4:00. An additional viewing and visitation will be Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 pm at Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services, 717 Griffin Road Lakeland, FL 33805. A graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland, Florida.
