Sherry Lynn Breeden, passed away on February 2, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida, at the age of 52. Born on March 31, 1973, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to the late Glen and Maxine Cooley. Sherry's journey through life was marked by an unwavering dedication to her family and an infectious spirit that drew people to her.
She was a cherished wife to Charles D. Breeden Jr., with whom she shared a love that was both deep and enduring. Sherry was a guiding light to her children, Shawn (Lindsey) Simmons , Aaron Breeden, and Brent Breeden, instilling in them the values of compassion and generosity that she embodied every day. Her sister, Shelly Meschke, will fondly remember the bond they shared, filled with moments of joy and sisterly love.
A grandmother of four, Sherry's legacy will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren, whom she adored with every fiber of her being. Her love for them was as boundless as the sky, and she cherished every opportunity to create memories that they will carry with them forever.
Sherry's passion for life was evident in her love for travel. She found great joy in exploring new places from the comfort of her camper, a home away from home where she could be close to nature and the beauty of the open road. Her adventurous spirit was matched only by her love for the holiday season, as she transformed her home into a Christmas wonderland each year. Her decorations were not just a display of festive cheer but a reflection of her warm, inviting nature.
As we bid farewell to Sherry Lynn Breeden, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and joy. Her loving presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will continue to inspire and comfort us. Sherry's story does not end here; it lives on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness and the beautiful family she nurtured with love. May we honor her memory by embracing the values she held dear and by spreading the love she so freely gave to the world.
