Born on May 6, 1981, in Albany, New York, to the late Alfred James Benoit and Patricia Elaine Benoit, Shawn grew up with a loving family that included his grandparents, the late Alfred James and Alice Elizabeth Benoit, Wesley and Elsie Mordsfeld.
Shawn's life was a testament to his loving and friendly nature, qualities that endeared him to everyone he met. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Amanda Benoit, and was a devoted father to his children, Ainsley Patricia Benoit, Gavin Oliver Benoit, and stepchildren Addison Erin Jensen and Avery Dylan Jensen. His siblings, Colleen Searson and Brian Benoit, will remember him as an inspiring and supportive brother. Shawn's joy was multiplied by the love he had for his nephews, Christopher Bass, Hunter Searson, Zachary Wolf, and nieces, Kristen Dale, Alyssa Stambone, Kelsey Wold-Wallace, as well as his five great-nieces and nephews.
