Sara "Helen" Crawford Grieshaber

Sara Grieshaber, age 87, of Lakeland, FL passed away on January 12, 2023. 
A native and lifelong resident of Lakeland, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lilio Crawford.
She is survived by her only son, Steve Chasteen, and his wife Cherie, grandson, Zachary Chasteen, and great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Kaidence , and Kimberlin Chasteen. She leaves behind her brother, Bobby Crawford, sister Sue Loftin, and several nieces and nephews.
Sara was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Polk City, Florida, and worked as a frame board technician for Southern Bell, which became Bell South which is known today as At & T. She was a very active woman who participated regularly in the Polk Senior games. She earned multiple gold medals in the triathlons, track and field events, and fishing, to name a few. She played volleyball and was a champion checkers player. She was a competitive trick skier and marathon skier. She was a sweet, loving and kind woman who loved her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 5415 Mt. Olive Rd, Polk City, Florida, 33868. A graveside service will follow at the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery.
