Ruth Chestnut Seng

Ruth Chestnut Seng, 93 of Lakeland passed away August 18, 2021.

Born in Lakeland, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mattie Chestnut.

Also preceding her in death are husbands, Eugene Roberts, Carson Seng; son, Cliff Roberts; siblings, Helen, Maxine, James, Bud and JoAnne; two stepchildren.

Ruth's survivors include, children, Sherry Smith (Tony), Al Roberts; grandson, Gene Roberts (Dawn); two stepchildren.

Ruth's family were charter members of New Home Baptist Church and lifelong residents of Lakeland. She attended Strawberry school, worked in the fields and in the family dairy. She also did bookkeeping for many in the family. She loved to work puzzles, travel, and had a green thumb. Her favorite family holiday was Christmas.

The family will be having a graveside service at 10:00am, Monday, August 23, 2021, New Home Baptist Church Cemetery, Lakeland.
