Richard Lewis Bell

Richard Bell, age 78, of Lakeland, FL passed away on October 26, 2022.
Born in Plainwell, Michigan, he was the son of the late Lee and Margaret Bell.
He is survived by his loving partner of 22 years, Georgette Houser and her children Shawn (Teryn) Houser and Brian Houser and granddaughter, Carlee.
Rick was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a firefighter in The United States Airforce and was fire protection supervisor for 26 years. He saw combat in Vietnam and received many medals for his service, valor, and humanitarianism. He thoroughly enjoyed tinkering around with tools and could fix anything if he had the time to figure it out. He was a jokester, and he adored his chihuahua and shih tzu puppies, Lexi and Finn. He enjoyed camping and traveling in his RV with Georgette and friends they'd met along the way. His favorite spot was Carlyle Lake in Illinois. He was known as Papa to granddaughter Carlee and will be greatly missed. Rick will receive military honors for his service and will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, a graveside service will be held, January 25, 2022 at 2:00pm.
