Ray Donald Goodman, 65, of Lakeland, passed away at home on February 28, 2023.
Ray was born on August 06, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Ray and Elvira Orosz Goodman Jr.
Ray worked as an IT Technician for P & C Bank. He maintained the hardware and software of all bank locations as well as the ATMs. He was a member of the Al Koran Shriners near Cleveland, Ohio. He had a remarkable singing voice, comparable to Neil Diamond, and was a successful Karaoke host in his free time. Until recently, he thoroughly enjoyed riding his Harley on long road trips. While living in Ohio, he had earned his pilot's license, owned his own Cessna, and liked to jaunt over to neighboring states for pancakes or burgers. A man of many talents, whose list of things he couldn't do was smaller, he was an avid golfer and very proud of his Hole in One. Affectionately known as Bubba, he had a heart of pure gold and would do anything for anyone at any time. He was often seen driving around the neighborhood on his golf cart "checking on things" to see if anyone needed help. He could fix anything from electronics to mechanical devices, big or small. Together for 24 blissful years, he cherished Dawn. Bubba was a good man and will be sorely missed.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Elvira Goodman, and Ray Goodman Jr.
He is survived by his beloved wife of twelve years, Dawn Goodman; his loving sister, Carol (Jeffrey) Adair; nephew, Gregory (Krista) Adair and niece, Kelly (David) Stanich.
Services will be held privately.
