Patrick Lafreniere Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Bartte Lafreniere, known to many as "Bart"; who left this world peacefully on April 16th, 2026, at the age of 59. Bart was born on September 28th, 1966, in New Bedford, Massachusetts; where he began a life that would touch countless others with his warmth, kindness, and unyielding spirit.

Bart was the beloved son of the late Patrick and Irene Lafreniere, and the cherished brother to his siblings: Anthony Lafreniere, Kathleen Hampton, Thomas Lafreniere, Robin Lafreniere, Christine Medeiros, Mary Carvalho, Patricia Margarita, and Ann Landry. He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Linda Desmarais; who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms to his new heavenly home.

On March 13th, 1993, Bart married the love of his life, Kendra Sloan Lafreniere, in a union that spanned an incredible 33 years. Together, they crafted a beautiful life; rich with love, adventure, and a close-knit family. They raised four wonderful children: Brittany (Casey) Porn, Steven (Heather) Lafreniere, Kristin (Mason) Vogt, and Shaylee (Devin) Hall; who carry forward his legacy of love and compassion. Bart's heart swelled with pride for his seven grandchildren: Tanner Braddy, Tallan Braddy, Trenton Porn, Kutler Vogt, Kynzlee Hall, Klair Hall, and Emery Vogt; with whom he shared joyous and memorable moments.

Bart began his career with dedication and service for the Florida Department Of Corrections; where he fulfilled his role as Sergeant honorably for 17 years, until his retirement in 2005. Never one to rest, Bart and Kendra embarked on a new journey together, purchasing Clean First Time of Polk County; where they worked side by side for 16 years. His last professional position was the Head Ranger at Camp Margaritaville in Auburndale, Florida; a career that perfectly suited his welcoming nature and love for the outdoors.

A man of many talents, Bart was known as the one who could fix anything. His patience and gentle nature were boundless; always the first to lend a hand and share his wealth of knowledge with others. Whether cruising on the water, fishing, or air boating, Bart found peace and joy in the embrace of nature. He loved sitting around campfires, singing and playing the guitar with his brothers. His afternoons were often spent tinkering with motors alongside his grandson; sharing not just skills, but precious moments that will be cherished forever.

Bart's life will be celebrated on May 2nd, 2026, at 3:00 PM, at Camp Margaritaville (361 Denton Ave, Auburndale, Florida 33823). The service will be a testament to a life well-lived and the indelible mark he left behind.

Though Bart has departed from this earthly realm, his spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, benevolence, and unwavering dedication to family. His memory will forever be a blessing to those who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Dad. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
