Patricia Ann Skold, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on April 2, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, Patricia lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.
Patricia was the wife of William Skold for 42 wonderful years, who preceded her in death in 2006. Their love story was one of mutual respect, shared dreams, and endless love. Together, they raised three children: Shelly Chambers (Tom), Jeff Skold (Lynda),and Troy Skold who also preceded her in death. Patricia was a devoted mother who instilled in her children the values of hard work, kindness, and the importance of family. She was also a doting grandmother to seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Patricia was a successful businesswoman who owned and operated the AFC Lounge for over 30 years. Her entrepreneurial spirit, combined with her warm personality, made the lounge a popular spot in the community. Patricia was known for her welcoming smile, her friendly demeanor, and her ability to make everyone feel at home.
Patricia had a zest for life that was infectious. She loved going on cruises and spending time at the beach. She was a fan of game shows and could often be found cheering on contestants from her living room. Patricia had a soft spot for pandas and Lhasa Apso, which brought her much joy.
Patricia Ann Skold was a woman of strength, grace, and love. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity. Her memory will forever be cherished by her loving family and the many friends she made throughout her life. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
