Patricia Delgado Rodriguez

Patricia Rodriguez, age 92, of Lakeland, FL passed away on October 3, 2022.
A native of Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Jose Delgado and Dominga Rodriguez.
Survivors include her sons, Domingo (Maria) Rivera and Carmelo (Sonia) Rivera, niece and caretaker, Limarys, Rivera, grandchildren, Limary, Amarilys, Carmelo, Ariel and Josue, great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Darien, Xavier, Jesus, Solimar, Beatriz, Lisomar, Juan, Cristian, Fernando, Jayden, Jurieliz, and Jariel, and nieces and nephews, John, Brunilda, Davis, Raymond, Iuelisse, Iris, Juan, Naydi, Orlando, Rafael, Ibania, George, Carmin and Cristina. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Meraldo Rivera and their son Meraldo Rivera Jr. as well as all of her siblings, Carmen, Isabel, Graciela, Maria, Carmelo, Salustiano, Elvira and Concha.
Patricia was of Catholic faith. She came to the United States in the 1950s and was married to Meraldo in 1958. She was a devoted wife, a phenomenal cook and great seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, loved to sing and watch television. She took care of her family and was the glue that kept everyone together. She was a happy woman who was always laughing and liked by everyone. She will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 1:00pm to 1:30 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 210 W Lemon St, Lakeland, FL 33815. Funeral Mass will follow at 1:30pm. Patricia will be laid to rest next to her husband, Meraldo at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Boston, Massachusetts.
