Pamela Marie Simpson, born on November 1, 1953, in Sausalito, California, passed away on August 20, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida.
Pamela lived a life marked by love, devotion, and a spirited personality that those who knew her will always remember. She was the beloved wife of Bobby Lee Simpson, who preceded her in death in 2013. Together, they shared 23 years of marriage filled with memories, family, and companionship. Pamela carried the love of that marriage throughout her life, and she honored it by remaining deeply connected to the family they built together. She is survived by her partner of 7 years, Ralph Walker.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Dawn Tackett, who survives her, and Rodney Cox, who preceded her in death. Pamela also leaves behind a large and cherished blended family that included her stepchildren surviving, Patricia & Michael, and preceded her in death, Tony and Stacey. She is also survived by six additional stepchildren. Among her many blessings were her grandchildren, Kellie, Matthew, and sixteen others, as well as thirty-one great-grandchildren, including Kinsley, Landon, and Roman, with another great-grandchild on the way. Her family was one of her greatest sources of pride and happiness, and she treasured each of them deeply.
Pamela was the daughter of Joan and Ernie Souza, both of whom preceded her in death, whose memory remained important to her throughout her life. She is survived by her sisters, Tisha Souza and Shirley Bass, who shared in the bonds of family and the many memories created over the years.
