Nancy Jean Wandall, age 80, passed away on July 16, 2024, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on September 6, 1943, in Maine, New York, Nancy's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with devotion to her family, her faith, and her art.
Nancy's journey through life was shared with her beloved husband of 51 years, Warren "Mike" Wandall. Together, they built a legacy of love that will be cherished by their children, Howard (Linda) Harman, Teresa (Richard) Mansfield, Penny (Dewell) Burton, and Lesley (Thomas) Robbins. Nancy's joy was multiplied by her eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, who were the apples of her eye. She also leaves behind her loving sister, Jane (Gerry) Youngs, and is predeceased by her brother, Dana Daniels, and her parents, Cleon and Evelyn Daniels (nee Hollenbeck).
Nancy's professional life was marked by her dedication to the safety and well-being of children as a bus driver for Newark Valley Public Schools in New York and later for the Polk County Public School District. Her caring nature extended to her role as a bus driver for Disney, where she spread magic and smiles to all she encountered for several years. Nancy was a member of Fellowship Church in Lakeland where she was actively involved, serving as the Women's Ministry Leader. She coordinated Ladies' Tea Parties, and loved dressing up as she touched many lives with her warmth and hospitality.
A renowned local artist and painter, Nancy's creative spirit was a source of inspiration to all who knew her. She shared her passion for art by teaching painting and giving lessons in her home, nurturing the talents of countless individuals. Nancy's artwork, a reflection of her beautiful soul, will continue to bring joy and beauty to the world.
Nancy loved Jesus, her family, and animals. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she was the rock of her family, always providing strength and support. She loved going to garage sales and thrift stores.
Nancy's legacy will live on through the cherished memories she created with her family and friends, the beautiful art she left behind, and the countless lives she impacted through her kindness. She was a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
