Michael Ledoux Obituary

Michael Martin Ledoux, age 76, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 5, 1950, in Charlotte, North Carolina, and lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, and a deep appreciation for the simple blessings of each day.

Michael was the son of the late Homer Martin Ledoux and Theresa Maria Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his angel wife, Martha Nan Tanner-Ledoux, and his brother, Jeffrey Ledoux. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life, and he carried their love with him always.

He was a graduate of Lakeland High School and retired from CED/Raybro Electric of Lakeland. Michael was known as a faith-filled, handy, and loving man who approached life with steady hands and a generous spirit. He was a member of Harvest Assembly Church, where his faith was an important part of who he was and how he lived. His beliefs guided his actions, strengthened his character, and shaped the way he cared for others.

Michael found joy in the outdoors and especially loved fishing. He was also an avid Florida Gators fan, and he followed his team with enthusiasm and loyalty. He and all of his fishing buddies spent countless hours on the lakes and the ocean. He made precious memories with them, laughing and enjoying every moment.

Above all else, Michael treasured time with family and friends. He loved being around the people who meant the most to him, and he made those around him feel welcomed, valued, and loved. His presence brought comfort and warmth, and his steady nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his stepdaughters, Marti Stull and her husband Chester, and Becki Bibby and her husband Jim. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Ryan Stull and his wife Nicole, and Zach Bibby and his wife Tristo. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Ayden Stull, Nolia Rose, Liam Bibby, Luca Bibby, and Luxe Bibby. He is also survived by his extended family, Janice and Dean Alderman, along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins on his side of the Ledoux and Johnson families.

Michael's life was a reflection of quiet strength, devotion, and love. He will be remembered for his faith, his jokes, smile and laughter, his love of family, and the many ways he showed care for those around him. His memory will be a blessing to all who knew him. The family would like to recognize and thank the nurses and staff of Home Instead.
