Michael Eddie Laine

Michael E. Laine was born January 15, 1946, in beautiful Lebanon, TN and was called home to play music with the angels on February 21, 2022 when he passed away peacefully at his home in Lakeland, FL.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Sable Aline (Nikki) Nichols and Eddie Colbert Laine.
He is survived by his loving wife Gina Swanner Laine, his four children Tami Drake, Nikki Lynn and her husband Aaron, Randi Rae and her husband Chris and Stanley (Stosh) and his wife Hunter, his most precious grandchildren Kara Rae Peck, Andrew Peck, Karma Noe, Khloe Noe, Sophie Stone, Hunter Swanner and William Ryder Siedlecki, 2 great grandchildren and his sister Linda Laine, his most loyal fur-friend Sugar Ray, as well as hundreds of friends and associates.
Mike was a man of many talents, but he truly dedicated his life to making people happy with his music and he always had good advice to share with everyone he knew and a story for every occasion.
As a young man he decided that he would live his life with honor and a strong work ethic, ethics that led him to do great things like make boots for Roy Rogers, become the Tennessee State High School weightlifting champion (with the trophies to prove it) and start a band in 1965 called The Moles and the Tampa Night Train, making it possible for him to chase his lifelong passion of music on stages all across America. He also never met an instrument he couldn't play or didn't want to keep forever.
Even though he will be greatly missed, we will always have his music to keep him close.
He was an amazing and patient husband, a reliable friend and a remarkable father, always trying to teach us how to take care of ourselves even if it was the Mike Laine way.The family will receive friends Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services, 717 Griffin Road, Lakeland, FL 33805.
