Mary Clyce Quincel

Mary Clyce Quincel, who was born on May 15, 1944, in Beaver, Ohio, and passed away in Lakeland, Florida on August 18, 2026. She will be remembered with deep love and gratitude for a life marked by devotion to family, hard work, and the many simple joys she shared with those around her. She carried herself with warmth and grace, and her presence brought comfort and brightness to her home and to all who knew her. Her memory will remain a lasting blessing to her loved ones and friends.

Mary was the beloved wife of John Wayne Quincel and the proud mother of her son, Darrin Quincel. She also carried in her heart the memory of her stillborn daughter, Infant Quincel, who preceded her in 1968. She was the cherished daughter of Melvin and Bertha Clyce, both deceased, and was part of a family whose ties remained strong through every season of life. She was preceded in death by her siblings Shelba Dyson and her husband Johnny, Ed Clyce, and Raymond Clyce and his wife Claudette. She is survived by her sister-in-law Barbara, the widow of Ed Clyce, and by two special nieces, Patty Clyce and Margorie Meadows, who held a special place in her heart.

Mary was also a loving grandmother to Kasey and Taylor Quincel and a proud great-grandmother to Carter and Barrett. Her family was the center of her life, and she found great joy in the generations that followed her. She treasured every visit, every conversation, and every opportunity to share in the lives of those she loved. Her kindness, steady support, and gentle spirit made her a source of strength for her family, who will continue to carry her memory with them always.

Mary worked hard throughout her life and took pride in the many ways she served others. She owned her own beauty shop for 15 years, where she not only styled hair but also built lasting relationships with the people who came through her door. Her work reflected her care, her attention to detail, and her natural ability to make others feel welcome and valued. Later, working with Dr. Chapa for 5 years, she then spent 10 years working as a medical coder for the Watson Clinic, where she was known for her dedication and reliability. In every role she held, Mary demonstrated a strong work ethic and a quiet commitment to doing her best.

Outside of her work, Mary enjoyed a full and active life. She and her husband spent 10 years traveling in a fifth wheel to NASCAR races, creating memories that they treasured together. Those trips were filled with adventure, companionship, and the excitement of following a sport they enjoyed. Mary also enjoyed being part of the bowling league at Orange Bowl, where she found friendship and fun in the company of others. These interests brought her happiness and added richness to her life.

Mary will be remembered for her loving nature, her steadfast devotion to family, and the many ways she made life better for those around her. She lived with a spirit of quiet strength and a heart that made room for others. Her life was one of meaningful work, cherished relationships, and enduring love. Though she is no longer present in body, her influence remains in the lives she touched and in the memories that will be held dear forever.
