Mark Keeler Obituary

Mark Dale Keeler, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, in Lakeland, FL, at the age of 73. Born on March 28, 1951, in Tampa, FL, Mark's life was a testament to his loving and adventurous spirit.

Mark's journey began as the son of Dale Leland Keeler and Marguerite Alice Gibbs, who predeceased him, as did his siblings Janet L. (Michael) Mhyrvold and Julie K. Perez. He was a devoted family man, and his legacy continues through his beloved wife of 38 years, Grace Blair-Keeler, his stepson Clifford (Jill) Blair, his brothers Michael (Pat) C. Keeler, Duane A. Keeler, William D. (Jennifer) Keeler, and his adored six grandchildren.

A proud Vietnam veteran, Mark served his country with honor in the Navy before dedicating over 25 years to education. He earned his BA in Education at the University of South Florida (USF) and went on to inspire countless students as a math teacher. His passion for teaching was matched only by his love for his family and his unwavering support for Tampa sports teams. Mark was a fervent fan of USF athletics, the Buccaneers, and the Lightning, embodying the spirit of his hometown teams.

Mark's love for adventure was evident in his fondness for fishing and his deep affection for Key West. He and Grace celebrated their union with a honeymoon in Key West and continued to travel there frequently, creating a lifetime of memories in their favorite getaway.

Those who knew Mark will remember him as a loving husband, a supportive stepfather and brother, a doting grandfather, and a loyal friend. His warm presence and infectious enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

As we bid farewell to Mark Dale Keeler, we celebrate a life lived with joy, commitment, and an enduring love for his family and community. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and his memory will be cherished forever.
