Marie Costine Obituary
Miss Marie Jeannette Costine, a lifelong Lakeland resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 4. Born on July 5, 1949, she was known for her love of animals, and her friendly and gentle spirit.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Ernest Costine and her mother Narcissus (Narcy) Costine. She is survived by sisters, Shirley Morgan (Dewain) , Plant City, Florida, Dorothy Sawyer. Lakeland, Florida, Sue Kight, Manassas, Virginia, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In spite of being born with congenital hypothyroidism, she did excellent needlework and played the piano beautifully. She frequently entertained the residents at Grand Villa with songs popular during the 40's and 50's, and gospel hymns. She was a frequent guest at family holidays and celebrations and will be remembered for her gentle presence, but also her playful spirit. Now she is forever at peace with God.
