Lonnie Watson Obituary

Lonnie Watson, age 59, of Lakeland, FL passed away on September 19, 2022.
Born in Lakeland, he was the son of Jimmie and Laura Watson.
He is survived by his mother, his daughters, Brandi Reese and Jenny Bell and his mother in law Carolyn Reese. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Ayden DeLoach, Raelee McMaster, Lyrik Golan, Joshua Bell, Thomas, Kameron and Nikalis Davis and Jayden Maldonado, nieces and nephews, April (Wes) Scheehly, Destiny (Will) Otten, Dustin Watson, Joshua Watson, Stephanie (Josh) McCool, Tia Watson, and Miranda Arduengo. He was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Rita, whom he lost on August 20, 2010.
Lonnie was a member of New Home Baptist Church in Lakeland and he worked for Lane Construction as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, Kid Rock, his dog TJ and Nascar (#3 Sr.), for which, some family members feel he needs prayer. He thoroughly enjoyed the show "Counting Cars". Those closest to him are pretty sure it was primarily for the woman on it. He was a generous man who would give the shirt off his back. He was a stubborn man with a good heart and he absolutely loved his brothers. Lonnie was a proud man. His presence was strong and he stood up for what he believed in regardless of what others thought. He loved hard and those he loved knew it. He lived life on the edge, without rules and fought his demons head on. He was sweet and kind and had the superpower to make a person feel better despite his own difficult times. He had a way about him that will forever leave an imprint on the lives of those who knew him. He will forever be sorely missed.
