Born in Joliet, Illinois, on May 25, 1966, he was the son of the late Gary Bartelli and Marianne Richardson Bartelli. He worked as a mason in the construction industry.

Lloyd is survived by his son, Steven Bartelli; and brother, Christopher DelRoss.
