Lisa Marie Martin-LaFave, 56, of Lakeland Florida, passed away at Lakeland Regional Hospital
Tuesday December 13th, 2022.
Lisa was born April 12, 1966 in Sufferin NY. Daughter of Richard (Dick) Martin & Delaine
(Parshley) Martin. She attended Canton Central School, where she enjoyed cheerleading and
multiple other school activities. Lisa graduated from SUNY Canton with an Associate's Degree in
Hospitality. Lisa married David LaFave of Ogdensburg NY on February 14th, 2009.
Lisa was always seen with a beautiful smile that would light up the room as she entered. You
could feel the radiance of positive energy, love, and joy flowing through her presence. Lisa
always had a happy and cheerful outlook on life. She loved her second home at Free Life
Chapel, where she spent every Sunday worshiping and volunteering in counting the daily
tithes. Lisa enjoyed being a member of the AFW of Lakeland, F.A.I.T.H Riders, Free Life Chicas,
Moose in Ogdensburg NY, AMVETS of Lakeland, and many more.
She was a hard-working mother, sister, wife, and recent manager at South Eastern University.
Prior to moving to Florida in 2007 she previously worked at the Country Seat Restaurant at Best
Western in Canton, New York for over 15 years. Lisa loved her family, and cherished each
moment with them. She enjoyed each day providing guidance, support, and inspiration to her
community. Lisa's favorite times were during the summer months when she was able to spend
the summer in the North Country, St. Lawrence County New York with her grandchildren. She
enjoyed being on the water, soaking up the sun's rays, and sand between her toes and roasting
smores by the open fire at Camp. Lisa was always traveling, seeing new places, taking on
adventures, and creating memories with her loved ones. She loved feeling the freedom of riding
her motorcycle and the fresh air she breathed while doing it. It was her quiet time traveling to
sunsets on the east coast of Florida.
Lisa is survived by her mother Delaine Martin, and her two daughters and two stepsons, Mandi
Perry and her children Rileigh, Madison & Xavier; Brooke Perry and companion Riano (Ray) Rios
and their son Percy Kia; Aaron LaFave and fiancée Tara Lambert and son AJ LaFave; Brandon
