Linda Driggers Obituary

Linda Sue Driggers passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, at the age of 74, in her hometown of Lakeland, FL. Born on June 29, 1950, to the late John and Iva Pollock, Linda's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the strength of familial bonds.

Linda's journey through life was marked by her unwavering spirit and the deep connections she forged with those around her. She was the beloved wife of Richard Driggers, with whom she shared countless cherished moments. She is survived by her son, Christopher Dunn, who brought her immeasurable pride and joy, stepdaughters Allison Warren (Greg), Monica Murphy (Ryan), Cady Mays (Lee), and many step-grandchildren. Linda's legacy of love continues through her granddaughter, Rachel M. Dunn, who inherited her grandmother's warmth and grace. She was also a caring sister to Sandy Pollock-Ealer, who were each other's rock, and would affectionately remember her as "the best sissy ever!"

A proud graduate of Florida Southern College, Linda's professional life was characterized by her entrepreneurial spirit and her dedication to her community. She began her career at Owen's Glass plant, where she was known for her hard work and commitment. Later, Linda channeled her passion into her own venture, starting a successful cleaning company that served her community with the same care she showed her family.

Linda's interests were a reflection of her love for life and the simple pleasures it offered. She was happiest when dancing, an activity that showcased her vibrant and spirited nature. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her fondness for being out on the lake on the pontoon and her countless days spent at the beach, basking in the sun and the company of her loved ones.

Those who knew Linda would describe her as loving, spirited, and thoughtful. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel cherished and valued. Her presence was a source of comfort and happiness, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Linda's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of love, laughter, and kindness. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we celebrate the indelible mark she left on our hearts and the world. Linda Sue Driggers will be remembered not only for the life she lived but also for the love she gave so freely. Her spirit will continue to dance in the memories of those who loved her and in the gentle waves of the lakes and beaches she so adored.
