Ms. Bea (pronounced "BEE") passed away in her home on September 30, 2021, she was 91.

Ms. Bea was the 5th child born to the Late Thomas Jiles Joslin and the Late Ethel Barrett Joslin in Newport, Arkansas. Her brothers were: The Late J. E, The Late Coleman, The Late Richard, The Late James, and the baby of the family The Late Billy Joe. Ms. Bea has one surviving sibling, her younger sister Mildred Montine Joslin Fisher.

At the age of 19, she married Bennie Jo Adcox on May 10, 1949 which yielded three (3) children: The Late Karon Adcox, The Late Baby Boy Adcox, and The Late Thomas Jo (TJ) Adcox.

Ms. Bea remarried Mr. Adcox at the age of 39 on September 19, 1969.

Before moving to Lakeland in 1970, she worked to help support her family and was the owner of two (2) beauty shops in Arkansas. While as a single parent, Ms. Bea opened the first consignment shop in Lakeland named, "What's New", in which she ran for many years with her son, TJ, and her best friend, Phyllis Laws until her retirement at the age of 62.

Ms. Bea found love again and married The Late Alfred E. Graham on October 19, 1990 at the First United Methodist Church in Lakeland, which combined their family that included David Graham. Ms. Bea and her beloved Al traveled and invested extensively within their 10 year marriage until his passing in 2000.

Ms. Bea enjoyed being an entrepreneur and resident of Lakeland. During her many years in Lakeland, she loved giving back to the community and being there for her loved ones.

This Amazing Woman leaves behind her younger sister: Montine in Chicago and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews, friends, and former customers.

Ms. Bea will always be remembered on August 15th, in which she received the City of Lakeland Proclamation designated as " Ms. Bea Day" in 2011.

A Memorial Service will be held 5:30pm, Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services, 717 Griffin Road, Lakeland, Florida 33805. Online condolence may be left for the family at Lanier.care.
