Larry Dials, age 73, of Lakeland, FL passed away on January 15, 2023.
Born in Wooster, Ohio, he was the son of the late James and Evilena Dials.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Mary Dials, his twin sister, Phyllis (Donald) Bixler, sister, Linda Bixler and Brother Dennis Dials, and many nieces and nephews.
Larry was a member of East Side Assembly of God in Winter Haven, Florida, and worked as a welder on trucks and trailers for Kidron Body Company. He enjoyed golfing and fishing of any kind. Larry was happiest on a houseboat on the St. John’s River fishing and joking around. Known affectionately as “Captain Warry”, he was a fun-loving guy, always good for a laugh, providing a lifetime of memories with his sisters and brothers-in-law. He was perpetually happy and the prankster of the bunch. He loved Twizzlers and was a proud American who served in the United States Army. The familiar sound of Warry ('Every day I'm') shuffling his feet will long be remembered and greatly missed by his family.
Larry will receive military honors and will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. The HONORS CEREMONY will be Wednesday, February 1, 2023, promptly at 1:30 pm.
