Obituary
Cecil LaVelle Jenkins, 80, passed away on January 24, 2023.
He was the son of the late Perry and Esther Jenkins, he is also preceded in death by brother; Lamar Jenkins.
Survivors include beloved wife of 47 years; Carol Jenkins, daughters; Wendy Wyolene Broom, Karen Lanelle St. Germain, sisters; Elsie Welborn, Cathy Taylor, grandchildren; Ashley Gove, Lance Gove, and many more cherished grandkids, and his beloved French Bulldog; Gizmo.
LaVelle worked for 18 years at the McIntosh Powerplant in Lakeland, Florida. LaVelle loved cars and trucks and his home state of Mississippi, he greatly enjoyed Tampa Bay Bucs football and naps in his favorite recliner. He was a very passionate man, always kind and stoic in nature. He cherished Carol more than anything in the world, he loved to make her happy and put a smile on her face. He did not have a mean bone in his body. He was family-oriented man.
Two services will be held, one here in Plant City FL, and one in Quitman, MS at the Faith Tabernacle, please check back shortly for updates to service times.
The Plant City Service will take place Saturday February 4, 2023 at First Baptist Church Plant City, FL. The family will receive friends for the visitation from 2:00 PM to 3:00 Pm. The Service will follow at 3:00 PM.
