Kenneth Cronin Obituary

Kenneth Brian Cronin, affectionately known as Kenny to his friends and family, passed away on December 8, 2024, in Lakeland, Florida, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 29, 1956, in Brooklyn, New York, Kenny's zest for life and his adventurous spirit were evident from a young age.

A proud navy veteran, Kenny served his country with distinction during Operation Desert Storm. Despite his endearing clumsiness, which often led to a collection of humorous stories about bumped heads and broken bones, he carried out his duties with dedication. Following his military career, Kenny continued to serve his community as a USPS mail carrier for over 30 years, a testament to his reliability and strong work ethic, as he never missed a day of work.

Kenny's passions were as diverse as they were intense. Kenny was an avid kiter and sand surfer, and while he never owned a motorcycle, he reveled in the thrill of riding. He was often found biking trails, listening to rock 'n' roll, cheering at NASCAR races, and immersing himself in all things nature. His love for the outdoors extended to gardening and exploring national parks. Kenny also had a passion for collecting beer mugs, each with its own story and memory.

He is survived by his sister, Jo Ann Tatlian; his niece, Joanna (Michael) Edouard, with whom he shared a special bond; and his great-niece, Sophia Edouard, who brought immense joy to his final years. Kenny was predeceased by his father, Henry Cronin, and his mother, Lillian Danesi.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Kenny lived by this creed, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the courage to forge one's own path. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
