Karl Alderman, age 83, of Lakeland, FL passed away on July 17, 2020.
A native of Plant City, Florida, he was the son of the late Maurice and Iona Hill Alderman.
Survivors include: Wife; Janice Alderman, Children; Dean Alderman, Joe (Erin) Alderman, Becki (Jim) Bibby, Marti (Chester) Stull, Grandchildren; Ryan Stull, Zach Bibby, Brock Alderman and Tristan Alderman, Great Grandchildren; Ayden Stull, Nolia Rose Stull, Liam Bibby, Luca Bibby, Siblings; Ruth (Bob) Hathcock, Marcella (Horace) Earnest, Wayne (Annette) Alderman,
Karl retired from CSX Railroad after 44 years of service, he enjoyed farming, hunting at Richloam, fishing and sugar cane grinds with family and friends. He was a 1955 graduate of Kathleen High School, honorary FFA member and was active helping kids with their show animals. Karl lived his entire life on the family’s original homestead, he loved working and planting the fields and sharing his harvest with family and friends. He was a member of the Kathleen Historical Society and was a key figure in the sugar cane grinding each year. Most of all he loved the Lord and always made sure his family was provided for and loved deeply. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services, 717 Griffin Road, Lakeland, FL 33805. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am. If so desired donations may be made to The Kathleen Historical Society 8950 N Campbell Road Lakeland, FL 33810. In accordance with Lakeland’s Ordinance masks will be required to attend the service.
