John Clifton Bush, age 72, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away on March 29, 2026. He was born on August 14, 1953, in Lakeland, Florida. He will be remembered with affection by all who knew him, and his memory will remain a lasting comfort to his family and friends.
He was the beloved husband of the late Bonnie Sue Bush and the cherished son of the late Walter Preston Bush and Mary Giddens. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Fred Bush. John is survived by his stepson, Les McNeill; his sister, Alice Bentley; his grandchildren, Courtney, Cameron, Taylor, Nick, Logan, Brayden, and Ethan; and his great-grandchildren, Preston, Oaklyn, and Izzy. His family was an important part of his life, and he took great pride in the generations that followed him.
He was a lifetime member of the NRA, reflecting an interest that remained important to him over the years. He also enjoyed reading, guns, and airplanes, and these interests were part of what made him who he was. He appreciated learning, admired craftsmanship, and found enjoyment in subjects that combined knowledge, precision, and history.
