JL LaFerney

JL LaFerney, age 96, of Lakeland, FL passed away on December 8, 2021.

He was the son of the late Louie and Fannie LaFerney.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora to whom he was married and devoted for 45 years before her passing in 1993.

Survivors include daughters, Zonnya LaFerney and Renee Butler.
He will also be missed by his sister Priscilla LaFerney Patton, his brother Don, grandson John Butler and great grandson, Camden. He is preceded in death by siblings, Camille, Paul, Mildred, Juanita, Louise, Alberta in childhood and Claude.
JL attended Northside Assemblies of God in Lakeland for over 50 years. He worked as a farmer and cattleman and later in life worked as an insurance agent for John Hancock as well as Chairman of the Board of Brokers Realty of CFI . He had a passion for barbequing, fishing and lived a long happy life that he devoted to church, his family and his friends.

The family will receive friends Monday December 13th from 10 Am to 11 AM at Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services 717 Griffin Rd, Lakeland, FL 33805 . Funeral services will follow.
A committal service will be held at 12:30 PM at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
