Hugh Alan Crafton

Hugh Alan Crafton passed away on August 5, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on July 14, 1940, in Fountainhead, Tennessee, Hugh’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his loved ones and his passion for the great outdoors.

Hugh was the beloved son of the late James Hugh and Jewell Estell Crafton. His life was enriched by the love and companionship of his late wife, Linda Crafton, with whom he shared countless treasured moments. Hugh was predeceased by his son, Michael Crafton, whose memory remains a guiding light in the family's hearts. The legacy of their love is carried on by their devoted daughter, Candi (Jack) Wright.

Hugh is survived by his brother, Gerald (Charlotte) Crafton; his nieces, Lucinda Jenkins and Stephanie Butler; his nephew, Christopher Crafton; and five grandchildren. Their memories of him will endure through the legacy he leaves behind.

Beyond his professional achievements, Hugh was an enthusiast of the natural world, with a particular love for fishing. His happiest moments were spent with a fishing rod in hand, surrounded by the serene beauty of Florida's lakes and rivers.

A Graveside service will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Oakhill Cemetery, 4620 US Hwy 98 S, Lakeland, FL 33812.
