Harold J. Andrews, 85, of Winter Haven Florida, transitioned peacefully on the morning of July 3, 2023. Born in Plymouth Massachusetts to the late John and Frances Andrews, Harold grew up in Duxbury, MA, and was the last of his five siblings.
Harold proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal before receiving an honorable discharge for four years of service. He was employed as a machine operator at Plymouth Rubber Company in Canton Ma. Harry also owned his own carpentry business. Later in life, he was a correctional officer at the Plymouth House of Corrections in Plymouth, MA, before finally retiring.
Harry loved playing golf, spending time with his family and friends, and adoring his beloved dogs. Harry was married to the late Rena J. Gonsalves and later to Diane (Costa) Andrews. He was a loving and devoted father to Harold J. (Trinidad) Andrews Jr., Steven J. (Julia) Andrews, Keith J. (Marie) Andrews, Misti J. (John) Severini, Kevin Costa, Kendra Costa, the late John J. Andrews, and the late Daniel J. Andrews. Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory include his 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of close friends. Harry will receive military honors for his service and be laid to rest at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA 02542, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 12:45 pm. The service will start promptly at 12:45 pm. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled service time. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made in honor of Harold to: The Wounded Warrior Project, a local VFW, and/or Veterans Affairs.
