Hannah James Obituary

Hannah Faith James, who was born on May 5, 2001, in Lakeland, Florida, and passed away on April 20, 2026, in Gainesville, Florida, will be remembered with deep love by all who knew her.

Hannah lived a life marked by warmth, laughter, and quiet strength. She was known for her funny spirit, her loving heart, and her intelligent mind, qualities that touched her family, friends, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of crossing her path. She carried herself with a kindness that made others feel welcome, and she had a way of bringing light into the lives around her. Her presence was a comfort, and her smile and sense of humor will be cherished memories for years to come.

Hannah worked as a pharmacy technician, where she served others with care and dedication. In her work, she demonstrated responsibility, compassion, and a steady commitment to helping those in need. She took pride in doing her job well and in being someone others could depend on. Her intelligence and thoughtful nature were evident in the way she approached both her work and her relationships, and she left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside her.

Outside of work, Hannah found joy in the simple and meaningful parts of life. She attended Bethel Baptist Church and appreciated the fellowship and peace she found there, though she was not a member. She loved to ride horses and enjoyed working with the cows, activities that reflected her appreciation for the outdoors and the life she embraced with enthusiasm. She also enjoyed hunting and fishing, pastimes that brought her peace, excitement, and treasured time spent in nature. These interests were a reflection of her spirited personality and her love for the world around her.

Family was central to Hannah's life, and she held her loved ones close to her heart. She is survived by her father, Dellis Wayne Bass, and her mother Wendy Gail Bass. She is also survived by her husband of two and a half years, Reese James, and her sister, Jordan Bass. The bonds she shared with her family were strong and meaningful, and her love for them was evident in all she did. Her family will forever carry her memory and the many moments of joy, laughter, and love they shared with her.

Hannah's life, though far too brief, was filled with purpose, affection, and genuine connection. She will be remembered for the way she loved others, the laughter she shared, and the intelligence and tenderness she brought into every room. Her memory will remain a blessing to those who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Friends and family will be received from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 25th 2026 at Bethel Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
