Glenn Devare O'Steen, 61, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 12, 2023, Lakeland, FL.
Born on March 30, 1962, Glenn was the first son born to parents Freeman Devare "Bo" and Marilyn (Massey) O'Steen.
A lifelong resident of Lakeland, Glenn played football in his youth and became a licensed contractor, framing houses. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a true-blooded, genuine country boy. He was a kind man and loved his family.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father Freeman Devare "Bo" O'Steen and his sister, Vicky O'Steen. Glenn was a loving son to Devare "Bo" and Marilyn O'Steen, brother to Vicky, Paula, Dennis, and Debbie, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a father and grandfather figure to Haley and her children, Eric, Brian, Danielle and her children, Thor, Heath and his child, and Forrest. He was a loyal friend to many and will be remembered for his kind heart.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Immediately following, the family will hold a reception for friends and family at Kathleen Heritage Park, 8950 N Campbell Rd, Lakeland, FL 33810.
