Friedrich Ganauser Obituary

Friedrich Karl Ganauser, "Fritz", was born on March 4, 1940, in Wels, Austria. At the age of 22, he and his then girlfriend traveled to the United States in search of a better life. He passed away on April 4, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida.

He lived a life marked by devotion, strength, and deep affection for the people he held closest. Fritz carried with him the values of hard work, loyalty, and kindness, and he shared those qualities generously with his family and all who knew him.

Above all else, Fritz loved his family. He especially cherished his wife, Johanna Ganauser, who was the love of his life. Their marriage of 62 years was a lasting example of commitment, companionship, and enduring love. Together, they built a life filled with devotion and shared memories that remained close to his heart throughout his life. The bond they shared was one of deep love and mutual respect, and it stood as one of the greatest blessings of his life.

He is survived by his son, Erik Ganauser, and his daughter-in-law, Tania. Fritz took great pride in his family and found joy in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He was a beloved grandfather to Erika and her husband, Tyler, and to Andre and his wife, Jessie. He also treasured his great-grandson, Jackson, though he was only five months old and Fritz was able to meet him just once, he was filled with love for him.

Fritz enjoyed traveling and embraced the opportunity to see new places and experience the world beyond his own. In his earlier years, he also enjoyed scuba diving, an activity that reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for discovery. These interests brought him joy and added richness to a life already filled with meaningful relationships and memorable experiences.

Though he will be deeply missed, Fritz's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His family will continue to honor him through the stories they share, the traditions they carry forward, and the love that remains among them. He leaves behind a legacy of affection, courage, and steadfast devotion that will not be forgotten.

May Fritz Karl Ganauser be remembered with love and gratitude for the life he lived and the many lives he touched.
