Franklin Hansell Obituary

Franklin Charles Hansell, who was born on October 6, 1962, in Anderson, Indiana, passed away on September 1, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida, leaving behind a life marked by hard work, kindness, and devotion to the people he loved.

Franklin lived his life with a quiet strength and a generous spirit that touched everyone who knew him. He was the kind of man who believed in lending a hand, solving problems, and getting the job done right. He was handy in every sense of the word and had a remarkable ability to fix just about anything. Whether he was helping family, a friend, or a neighbor, he was always willing to step in and do whatever was needed without expecting anything in return.

He found great enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing and hunting, which gave him time to reflect and enjoy the outdoors. He also took pride in riding his John Deere tractor, a pastime that suited his practical nature and his appreciation for honest work. Those who knew him best will remember his steady presence, his willingness to help, and the way he made others feel supported and cared for.

Franklin is preceded in death by his father, Frank Hansell. He is survived by his loving mother, Shirley Hansell. He is also survived by his daughter, who brought him great pride and joy, Christi Larmon and her husband, Shane. He is further survived by his siblings, Mary Ann Hansell, Debra DuBose and her husband Jim, Gregory Hansell and his wife Kelly, and Jackie Hall, and her husband Skip.
His memory will also be cherished by his six grandchildren, Jasmine, Patrick Jr., Jayden, Peyton, Jordan, and Hunner. His is also survived by his former wife, Sandra L. Bigford, as well as seven nephews and their children.

Family was an important part of Franklin's life, and he valued the bonds that connected him to those around him. He will be remembered not only for what he did, but for who he was, a dependable, caring, and hardworking man whose actions spoke louder than words. His life reflected a strong sense of responsibility and a deep commitment to the people and things that mattered most to him.

Though his passing leaves a deep emptiness, Franklin's legacy will continue through the memories shared by his family and friends. His kindness, his practical wisdom, and his willingness to help others will not be forgotten. He will be remembered with love, respect, and gratitude for the many ways he enriched the lives of those around him.
