Eugenie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, known for her kindness and warmth.

Eugenie was born in Queens, New York, and was the cherished sister of Jimmy "James" Luciani, who survives, and proceeded in death by Jeffrey Luciani, Jody Basilacato, and Donald Luciani. She was the loving wife of Daniel Marques, and the proud mother of Stephen Daniel Comkowycz (Korinne), Kimberly Comkowycz, Jaime Claire Jackson (Edward), and Rory Victoria Colon (Joseph). Eugenie was also a devoted stepmother to Nathan Alexander Schriber (Amy). She was a doting grandmother to Julianna Jackson, Jalah Jackson, Charlotte Comkowycz-Hall, and step-grandchildren Ashleigh Schriber, Cayleigh Schriber, with another one on the way.

Eugenie had a passion for learning and teaching. She studied history at Southern Connecticut State University, where she earned her master's degree. She spent most of her career as a middle and high school history teacher, leaving a lasting impact on countless students. She also worked as a substitute teacher and briefly at Mohegan Sun Casino with her husband. Her love for history was not only reflected in her career but also in her personal life. She was an avid collector and loved to share the stories behind each piece in her collection.

Eugenie had a zest for life that was infectious. She enjoyed holidays, making each one special for her family. She loved vacationing at her timeshare, creating memories with her loved ones. An active woman, Eugenie was a passionate skier and played field hockey. She was also a member of an adult hockey league, showcasing her competitive spirit and love for the sport. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and family, whom she loved dearly.

Eugenie's life was characterized by her loving nature, her generosity, and her strong faith. She had a heart for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
