Etta Geraldean Groover

Ms. Etta Gerry Groover, age 84, of Lakeland, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2021 at Valencia Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Etta Gerry Groover was preceded in death by her two sons James M. Cannon, and Harry R. Baxter, sisters Betty Jo Hamblin, Lois Ann Harrington, brothers James Frank Strickland, and Alton M. (Gene) Strickland.

Gerry is survived by her two Sons Daniel R. Baxter, Gerald W. Baxter, Sister Francis Poore, Grandchildren Melissa Baxter, Jessica Miller, Vanessa Baxter, Shauna Hunt, Kimberly Burchell, and Josh Baxter. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and friends that will miss her dearly.

She spent a few years with the wonderful people at Wedgewood that she loved like family and I know that they loved her just as much.

Gerry loved to work in her yard, go for walks, play the piano, and visit with friends and family.
