Ethel Mae Clark, 97 of Lakeland passed away June 14, 2021.
Born in Dublin, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Christopher and Ethel Mae Hutto. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.A. Clark, Jr.
Her survivors include children, Jay Clark, III (Linda), Ray Clark (Phyllis), Hope Bibby (Rick); seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
Ethel was gifted with unconditional love for everyone she met. If she knew your name she would pray for you daily. You didn't have to be with her long before she told you about her Jesus, her family, and her New Home church. She loved New Home and every person there felt her love. She was also gifted with the ability to cook. Everyone was welcome at her table. You couldn't leave without a fresh baked pecan pie and a dozen fresh eggs from her chickens. She worked side by side with Jesse overseeing the Cattle and Citrus operation of Clark Farms while also maintaining a fresh vegetable garden. Ethel was loving, caring and very generous to all.
The family will receive friends at 9:30am, Saturday, June 19, 2021, New Home Baptist Church, 901 North Galloway Road, Lakeland, with service to follow at 10:00am. Interment will be in the church cemetery, where Ethel will be laid to rest next to her husband.
