Esther Bernice Fowler Golden, 87 of Polk City passed away August 7, 2020.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ford, and the wife of 50 years to the late Joe Lee Fowler.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Baranowski, and granddaughter, Carey Anne Fowler.
Esther’s survivors include her children: Eunice Davis, Gerald Paul Fowler, Linda Fowler Gadd, Charlotte Fowler Branch, Jo Ann Fowler Richardson; son in law, Don Baranowski; 11 grandchildren: Donnie Baranowski (Lori), Pamela Charette (Chris), Wendy Davis, Jeremy Fowler (Amy), Lisa Stilwell (Joseph), Stephanie Browning (Roger), Valerie Salter (Waylon), Douglas Thornton Jr., Shelly Letchworth (Bruce), Kayla Richardson, and Jody Richardson, 28 great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
Esther was a spirit-filled prayer warrior who prayed for many people. She was active at First Assembly of God and Carpenter’s Home Churches, where she taught Sunday school for over 30 years and served as a missionary in Argentina. She was known as the ‘Salad Queen’ while working at Southeastern University in Lakeland because of her ability to turn fruits and vegetables into decorative art. She loved quilting and her flower garden, and she especially loved her children, grandchildren, and friends who have many fond memories of her love and caring nature. She was her family’s rock, their fortress, and they are so lucky to have called her Mama and Grandma.
The family will receive friends from 10-11am, Friday, August 14, 2020, Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services, 717 Griffin Road, Lakeland, with funeral services to follow at 11am. Her final interment will be at Oak Hill Burial Park, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Joe Lee.
