Enza Louise Rhodes

Enza Louise Rhodes, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on April 26, 1946, in Plant City, Florida, Enza's life was a tapestry woven with the love of family, the joy of simple pleasures, and the warmth of the Florida sun.

Enza's journey began as the cherished daughter of Theodore and Jaquetta Ogline, and later the stepdaughter to Mac McClellan and Martha Ogline. Her spirited nature was a gift to her siblings, Bill McClellan, Jim McClellan, Jill Smith, and Barbara Williams, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. Enza's heart found its match when she married her beloved husband, Jim Rhodes II, and together they navigated the waters of life for 58 incredible years.

The role of mother was one that Enza embraced with every fiber of her being. She was a guiding light to her sons, Jimmy (with his wife Michelle) and the late Michael Rhodes, instilling in them the values of kindness, resilience, and the importance of family. Though her heart ached for the loss of Michael, her love never waned, and her spirit remained a comforting presence.

Enza's legacy continued to flourish through her adored grandchildren, Hudson Barnes, Samantha Rhodes, and Westin Rexroad. She was their confidante, their cheerleader, and their most devoted fan. Her influence will be felt in their lives for generations to come.

A woman of many passions, Enza found solace in the rhythmic waves of the beach, the excitement of a good shopping trip, and the satisfaction of a meal cooked with love. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, where laughter mingled with the aromas of her cherished recipes, and where memories were made and savored like her signature dishes.

Enza's life was a testament to the beauty of everyday moments and the strength of familial ties. Her departure from this world leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly, guiding and inspiring her family like the eternal Florida sun.

As the sun sets on Enza's earthly journey, we bid her a fond farewell, knowing that her love will forever be the light that leads us through the darkest of nights.

Friends and family will be received from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Monday, April 29, 2024 at Lanier Funeral & Cremation Services, 717 Griffin Rd. Lakeland, FL 33805.   A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am. The family requests that guests dress casually.
