Beulah Emma Smith, 93 of Polk City passed away June 9, 2021.
Born and raised in Polk City, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Rosa Gaffney.
Emma was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles (C.G.) Smith and siblings Stella Bowers, Drewey Gaffney, Howard Gaffney, Marvin Gaffney, Gladys Powell and Helen Adams.
Her survivors include children, Beverly Familetti (John), Chuck Smith (Carol); grandchildren, Laura Knutson and Rebecca Warnick along with nine great grandchildren.
Emma was a lifelong resident of Polk County and a long standing member of the First Baptist Church. She graduated from Kathleen High School and later retired from Polk County Schools after serving as a crossing guard and working in the Polk City Elementary School cafeteria.
The family will receive friends from 10-11am, Tuesday, June 15, 2021, Polk City First Baptist Church, 212 Hemolia, Polk City, with services to follow at 11am. Emma will be interred in Mt Olive Baptist Church Cemetery immediately after where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
