Elizabeth Leon Obituary
Elizabeth (Beth) Leon, age 74, of Lakeland, FL passed away on February 9, 2022 from respiratory failure.
Beth will be forever loved and remembered by many. Born in Tampa, Florida, she was the daughter of Stanley and Edith Lanier. She was a lifelong resident of Lakeland, Florida and worked in her community as a legal secretary. She became a stand in mom for many of her nieces and nephews and friends of her son. She was someone you could count on, always trying to help whomever was in need. A force to be reckoned with, she will be missed dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Margie Chadwick, Millie Underwood, Rick Lanier and James Lanier and her niece, Donna Palmer.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Leon (Laura), Paul Leon (Mona), her grandchildren, Harper Leon, Olivia Leon, brother, Tom Lanier (Susan), sister-in-laws Mila Lanier, Eva Garcia, and her ex-husband, the father of her sons, Simon Leon. She will also be missed by nephew, Joe Rayborn (Christian), nieces, Leana Todd (Troy), Holly Brass, Melanie Underwood, Jenny Albrecht (Lucas), Victoria Garcia, Vanessa Sanchez and her beloved dog, Sassy. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews, Krystin Voyles, John Voyles, Salina Mills, Josie Albrecht, Eli Albrecht, Steven Palmer (Missy), Matt Palmer, Landen Voyles, Kinsley Siebenthal, Haley Voyles, Leah Harrelson, Michael Tenbrink, Jaelynn Widdows, Sheena Rayborn, Erin Sparks, Maxi Sanchez and many more. Elizabeth was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church, loved her dog Sassy and everyone she met. She was a mother to many and, in her final days, was absolutely devoted to her new granddaughter Harper Elizabeth.
A graveside service will be held 3:00pm, Friday, February 18, 2022, at Socrum Cemetery (Bethel Baptist Cemetery) 3125 West Socrum Loop Road, Lakeland, Florida 33810. Beth will be laid to rest alongside her parents.
