Obituary

Edward Tatlian, deeply loved by his family, friends, and community, died on April 10, 2023, at 85, in Lakeland, FL.

Born in Brooklyn, New York on September 5, 1937 Edward was a proud New Yorker. He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in the Pelham Bay area of the Bronx, NY and shortly afterwards joined the Army.

Edward was a successful entrepreneur and owned a printing company called Tracer. His company was located on Varick Street, right in the heart of what was then known as "Printing-House Square" in New York City. Edward's drive and determination served him well in his personal and professional life, and his legacy will live on forever.

Edward's faith was an essential part of who he was and shaped his entire life. He was a devout Christian who grew up in the Armenian Church, and as an adult, he found a new home in the Lutheran Church. He was so passionate about his faith that he became one of the first graduates of the Metropolitan New York Synod's ELCA Diakonia Program in 1985.

After retiring, Edward pursued his two passions of business and ministry by creating Organizational Printing, a company dedicated to serving the printing needs of nonprofits. He also continued his ministry as a deacon in the Lutheran and Episcopal Church and was involved in the Polk County Guardian Ad Litem program.

Edward was a man full of life who loved to engage in various activities. He enjoyed playing volleyball and bowling and had a passion for classic cars. He also loved listening to music, solving puzzles, building models, playing cards and tending to his garden. He cherished the company of his family, friends, and religious community and was always in constant communication with them.

Edward has now joined his brother, John Tatlian, and his parents, Rose and Charles, in the church triumphant. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Tatlian; his children, Edward Tatlian Jr., Michael Tatlian, Stephanie Tatlian-Craig and son-in-law John, and Joanna Edouard and son-in-law Michael; his granddaughter, Sophia Edouard, and his sister, Rosemarie Gaches and brother-in-law Stacey Gaches, and niece, Debbie Gaches-Eckwall and nephew, Jimmy Gaches.

There will be a visitation for Edward on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 3 to 5 PM at Lanier Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 717 Griffin Rd in Lakeland, FL.
