Dollie Seymour Obituary

Dollie Elena Seymour, passed away on August 29, 2025, at the age of 84, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on March 1, 1941, in Mayo, Florida, to the late Bud and Bessie McIntyre, Dollie's life was a testament to the power of warmth and generosity.

Dollie was a sister to Bud McIntyre, Julia Waters, Anne Foster, and David McIntyre, who survive her, and to Andrew McIntyre, Jim Duncan McIntyre, Byrl McIntyre, and Lora Duncan, who predeceased her. The bonds of family were always a guiding force in her life, and she carried that sense of connection into every relationship she fostered.

Her own family grew as she welcomed her children into the world. While she was predeceased by Michael Wayne Seymour Sr. and Marquerite Elena Peddycoart, her loving spirit lives on through her sons, James (Jimmy) Edward Seymour and Jerry Lynn Seymour. Dollie was a cherished grandmother to twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, whose lives have been indelibly marked by her nurturing presence.

Dollie's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. As a devoted member of the Light & Life Free Methodist Church, she found strength and community. Her commitment to her faith was evident in the way she lived her life, always striving to embody the principles of love and kindness that she held so dear.

An avid bingo player, Dollie's competitive spirit was always in good humor, and her laughter was a common sound at the local bingo halls. She also found joy in the kitchen, where she expressed her love through the meals she prepared. Her cooking was not just about nourishment but was a symbol of her desire to care for and bring people together.

Those who knew Dollie will remember her for the love she so freely gave and the kindness that seemed to flow effortlessly from her. She was a woman who saw the good in people and situations, and her optimistic outlook was contagious. Her legacy is one of compassion and caring, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Dollie's life was a journey of love, from the small town of Mayo to the warm community of Lakeland. Her story is not just one of the years she lived but of the countless lives she touched. As we say goodbye to Dollie Elena Seymour, we celebrate a life well-lived, a heart well-loved, and a soul that will forever be remembered for its boundless love and kindness.
