Deborah Jean Zahn, age 73, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away on May 24, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of a life marked by kindness, faith, and devotion to family and friends.
She was born on September 4, 1952, in Wellsville, New York, to the late John and Jean Mahoney. Deborah carried the values of her upbringing throughout her life, and those who knew her will remember her as a loving and friendly woman whose warm spirit made others feel welcome and cared for.
Deborah was united in marriage to Charles Zahn, and together they shared 33 years of marriage filled with companionship, commitment, and enduring love. Charles preceded her in death, and their years together remained a treasured part of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Scott, and her husband, Joshua, as well as her beloved granddaughter, Andrea Scott. Deborah also leaves behind her siblings, John, Janet, and Diane, who shared many memories with her over the years.
Deborah was a faithful member of Keysville Assembly of God in Lithia, Florida, where her faith was an important part of her life. She found joy in simple pleasures and especially loved being outside. Whether she was going for walks, spending time at the pool, or talking with people, she had a way of making everyday moments meaningful.
Deborah Jean Zahn's life was a reflection of love, faith, and kindness. Though she will be deeply missed, her family and friends will hold close the many memories they shared with her. Her legacy of love and friendship will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew her.
