Deborah Baker Carver Obituary

Deborah Ann (Baker) Carver, 69, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, in the comfort of her home in Lakeland, Florida.

Born on April 17, 1957, in Kingsport, Tennessee, to the late Katherine and Grover Baker Jr., she was a loving, joyful woman who brought warmth and laughter wherever she went and was truly the life of the party.

Debbie had a beautiful singing voice and was a talented pianist. She found joy in sharing her love of music, whether playing in the comfort of her home for her family or serving through music at church.

She loved spending time outdoors, connecting with nature. She especially enjoyed gardening and sitting outside with a good book or watching the birds and other wildlife pass by. Debbie was also an active and devoted member of the church, where her faith was an important part of her life.

Above all, she will be remembered as a loving and supportive mother who always cheered her daughters on, no matter the sport, hobby, or where life took them. She was their biggest supporter.

Deborah is survived by her two children, Nancy Carver and Rachael Carver; her granddaughter Ava Rose (Nancy); her two brothers, Ronald Baker, wife Diane, and Grover Baker III, wife Lauren, as well as four nieces and nephews, Mandy, Tiffany, Josiah, and Samuel.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life honoring Deborah on Sunday, October 11 in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a place Debbie loved. If you would like to attend, please reach out to her daughters, Rachael or Nancy Carver, or her brother, Grover Baker, for details.
