Clara Alice Phillips Robinson, 75 of Bradenton and formerly of Lakeland left us to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday August 20, 2021. Meeting her at the gates of heaven was her father Percy Phillips, mother Lucille Phillips, sister Sharon Hutchins and son Ronald W. Robinson.
Clara was born September 2, 1945, at Morrell Memorial Hospital in Lakeland, FL. She graduated in 1964 and upon graduation, she married James F. Robinson on June 27, 1964. Jim served in the Air Force for 20 years and the adventure took the couple on a journey of 12 moves including Japan and the Philippines where they adopted their daughter Michelle Lynn. In 1980, Clara began her career in banking at People's Bank of Lakeland where she served as branch manager. In 1997, they moved to Bradenton where she finished her banking career at First Bradenton Bank and volunteered at the Women's Resource Center. Clara was also a beloved consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics for over 30 years. She was a member of New Home Baptist church of Lakeland and served as the organist and pianist for several years. She loved the beach and spending as much time with her family as she could.
Her survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jim F. Robinson; children, Herb Robinson (Dorine), Michelle Robinson Leppien (Josh); sister, Mary Ellen Lambert (Ollie); eight grandchildren, Brent Parsons, Andrea Smith, Jason Pollock, Allyson Robinson, Brayden Leppien, Ethaniel Leppien, Mylana Leppien, & Syleisya Leppien; 2 great grandchildren, River Radike and Westley Smith.
The family will receive friends from 10-11am, Thursday, August 26, 2021, New Home Baptist Church, 901 N. Galloway Rd. Lakeland, FL. 33810 with services to follow at 11am.
