Charlotte Smith

Charlotte Smith, age 87, of Plant City, FL passed away on April 23, 2022.
Born May 23, 1934, in Vero Beach, Florida, she was the daughter of the late James and Inez Harris.
She is survived by her children, Avery Smith, Orlando, FL; Crystal Smith (Clevenger), Simpsonville, SC; April Smith (Eschenfelder), Plant City, FL; Todd Smith, Pleasantville, TN; and Ryan Smith, Mars Hill, NC. She will be missed by her 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Charlotte was a member of Upper Laurel Baptist Church in Mars Hill, NC; Our Father's House in Satellite Beach, FL and First Baptist Church in Mauldin, SC. On November 27, 1953, she married the love of her life, Donald E. Smith in First Baptist Church in Vero Beach, Florida. She was a homemaker and served as a voluntary missionary with the Southern Baptist Association for ten years. She taught ceramics and owned a ceramic shop. She served as an interim youth minister with her husband at several churches. Charlotte was preceded in death by her brother James Alton Harris.
Services will be held privately by the family.
