Charles Phillips, age 88, of Lakeland, FL passed away on March 15, 2022.
A native of Avon Park, Florida, he was the son of George and Iva Phillips
Survivors include children, Ronald K. Hornsby, Candie Lynn Simms, sibling, Hunter Phillips, grandchildren, Ronald Hornsby, Amber Hornsby, Michael Baxter, Olivia Baxter, William Simms, Stephen Simms, great grandchildren, Geneva Hornsby, Lional Hornsby, Vladmir Hornsby, Aubree Caudill, Corbin Caudill, Jayden Jackson, Makayla Baxter. He was preceded by his wife, Geneva Phillips, and son Richard Hornsby. Charles enjoyed playing music especially bluegrass with his brothers.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 21, 2022, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services, 717 Griffin Road, Lakeland, FL 33805. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 AM. Charles will be laid to rest next to his wife Geneva Phillips at Corinth Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Fort Meade, Florida.
