Charles Longieliere, age 82, of Sebring, FL passed away on March 3, 2022.
He was the son of the late Francis and Vera Charlotte Longieliere. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lana Joy and brothers, Jim (Shirley) Longieliere and Robert (Judy) Bunker.
Survivors include his children, Lynn (Joe) Henry, Amy (Roberto) Huerta, Louis (Sara) Longieliere, Chuck (Dianna) Longieliere, Stefanie (Ryan) Widener, his siblings Denny Bunker, Alvin (Linda) Longieliere, Larry (Marilyn) Longieliere, Carol (Ken) Smith, and Joyce (Henry) Whilden, 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He also had many nieces and nephews.
Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of VFW. He worked for the Naples Fire Department for 35 years. He was a member of the Meat Cutters Union and he ran drive in theaters in Naples, Florida, giving his children fond childhood memories. He loved fishing, building model trains and gambling at the slot machines. He was quick witted and a hard worker with a lawn mowing service and delivery service in his "free" time.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services, 717 Griffin Road, Lakeland, FL 33805. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 AM. Charles will receive full military honors and will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery next to his wife, Lana.
